Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating for RVs

An RV has more painted and fiberglass surface than any car, and it spends its life outside. A ceramic coating makes the sides easier to wash, helps black streaks rinse off, and slows sun fading on fiberglass and decals. It will not repair oxidation that is already there or protect against tree branches.

Expect RV pricing by the foot rather than by vehicle size, and expect the quote to depend on how much oxidation has to come off first. Ask what is covered: rubber roofs (EPDM and TPO) need their own products and are often left out.

Common questions

Is ceramic coating worth it on an RV?

For an RV stored outside, often yes: washing a 35-foot rig is a big job, and a coating makes it a smaller one. Get the oxidation removed first, or you are sealing it in.

Does ceramic coating go on an RV roof?

Not the same coating. Rubber roofs need products made for EPDM or TPO, and fiberglass roofs are treated like the sides. Ask the shop exactly which surfaces are included.

How is RV ceramic coating priced?

Usually by length, plus the amount of correction the finish needs. Get an itemized quote that separates oxidation removal from the coating itself.
